Skype now shares the same fate as Google’s Duo, Apple’s FaceTime or Whatsapp Video call as the UAE’s telecoms regulator (TRA) has confirmed that Skype has been blocked completely. Etisalat & du had already confirmed the ban on Skype few days before.
The only legal alternatives are currently two VoIP-based apps BOTIM and C’Me provided by telecom operators.
