Dubai to Build World’s largest Waste-to-energy Plant

Dubai is planning to build a $680M waste-to-energy plant capable of treating around 5,000 metric tons daily and generating enough power to run 120,000 homes, which is as much power "as 2,000 skyscrapers as big as the Burj Khalifa could consume – roughly two percent of Dubai’s annual electricity consumption". Skype Officially Blocked in the UAE

Skype now shares the same fate as Google's Duo, Apple's FaceTime or Whatsapp Video call as the UAE’s telecoms regulator has confirmed that Skype has been blocked completely. Etisalat & du had already confirmed the ban on Skype few days before. The only legal alternatives are currently two VoIP-based apps BOTIM and C’Me provided by telecom operators.
