Dubai is closing in on Beijing Capital International Airport and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport as it ranked third in the world’s busiest airports of 2017. Dubai International Airport (DXB) welcomed 88 million passengers in 2017, up by 5.5% from 2016, noting that the number of passengers in 2008 was merely 18 million.
