The Louvre Abu Dhabi is finally being inaugurated after several revised completion dates since 2013. The museum is to be located on the Saadiyat Island Cultural District, and will be approximately 24,000 square metres (260,000 sq ft) in size. The Louvre Abu Dhabi is the first universal museum in the Arab world. It will bring the Louvre name to Abu Dhabi and presents both ancient and contemporary works of historic, cultural, and sociological interest from around the world.

Opening hours will be Saturdays to Wednesdays from 10am to 8pm and Thursdays to Fridays from 10am to 10pm. The museum will be closed on Mondays after the opening week. Regular tickets cost Dh60 while Dh30 will buy entry for visitors between the ages of 13 and 22. [More Info]
